Play Place Finder ("we", "our", or "the app") is a community-driven mobile application designed for adult parents and caregivers to discover family-friendly places and activities.

This app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.(repeat on purpose)

By using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

  • Email address
  • Submitted content (reviews, photos, listings)
  • Advertiser/business information (if applicable)

B. Location Data (Permission-Based):

With your explicit permission, we may collect approximate or precise location, ZIP code or city, and manually entered location data. Location data is used to show nearby places, personalize search results, and serve geographically relevant advertisements.

We do not track location in the background unnecessarily, sell precise location data, or use location for unrelated purposes. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.

  • Device type and OS version
  • App interactions (screens viewed, taps)
  • Session data and basic analytics
  • Ad impressions and clicks

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide and improve app functionality
  • Display relevant local results and ads
  • Monitor usage and performance
  • Detect fraud or abuse
  • Process advertiser submissions and payments

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with payment processors (Stripe), analytics providers (aggregated, non-identifiable), and infrastructure providers (Google Cloud, Firebase, MongoDB Atlas). All partners are required to protect user data.

We do not accept any responsibility or liability for the privacy policy of such third-party services (e.g., Stripe, analytic & infrastructure providers), their storage and security of your data, and your use of these services are at your own risk and peril.

5. Crowdsourced Content

Play Place Finder is a community-driven platform. Content may be submitted by users or third parties. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or reliability. Users are responsible for verifying information.

6. Advertising

Some content is labeled as "Sponsored." Sponsored content is paid advertising from local businesses. We do not endorse or guarantee advertised businesses.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

This app is intended for adults (parents and caregivers). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to operate the app, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.

9. Security

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect data. However, no system is completely secure.

  • Disable location permissions
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt out of communications

11. Changes

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the app means you accept updates.

12. Tracking

We do not track users across third-party apps or websites. Advertising is based on general location (city or ZIP code), not cross-app tracking.

13. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

Play Place Finder is not liable for any privacy violations, data corruption, unauthorized access (hacking), service interruptions due to hardware/software failures beyond our control, and any other legal causes of action reasonably anticipated by Play Place Finder or the User of these services.

Further, the User agrees to indemnify and hold Play Place Finder and its officers, directors, employees and agents harmless from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal and accounting fees) related to (a) your access or use of our services or third-party services, (b) your violation of these terms, or (c) your negligence or willful misconduct. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM USE OF PLAY Place Finder SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD AT THE TIME OF DISPUTE OR CLAIM or $100 USD.

Any action, regardless of form, arising out of or relating to a dispute may be brought by either party not more than one (1) year after the cause of action has accrued.

9. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nebraska, USA. Any legal proceedings shall be filed in Douglas County, Nebraska.
